After working for a smaller company stockbroker, Graham has been operating
as a financial PR consultant for the last ten years with Ludgate
Communications and latterly Weber Shandwick Square Mile. His focus
has been advising public listed companies and he has extensive M&A, crisis
management and IPO experience. Graham set up Threadneedle Communications
in 2004, having identified the need for a more proactive and focused approach
to advising small and mid cap listed companies.
John has over 20 years’ experience of financial communications
working predominantly in leading UK consultancies. He has worked for a range
of companies from FTSE100, including Abbey National, P&O, Standard Chartered
and Friends Provident, to smaller companies including Jazz FM, Mavinwood,
Kier and AutoLogic. His M&A experience includes the defence of Abbey
National and NatWest and crisis management includes the capital restructuring
of Marconi and the strike threat at Imerys. John ran the demutualisations
of Bradford&Bingley
and Friends Provident and he was also responsible for the award winning
campaign on behalf of Institutional Investors against the Government’s
decision to place Railtrack into receivership.
Josh has been working in financial PR for ten years, initially
at Ludgate Communications and Luther Pendragon before joining Weber
Shandwick Square Mile. He has worked for a broad range of companies across
all disciplines. His IPO experience includes Matalan’s hugely successful
listing, in crisis management he advised Jarvis in the wake of the Potters
Bar train crash and his M&A experience includes Blacks Leisure’s
sale of its Sport & Fashion division to JD Sports and GPG’s hostile
bid for De Vere. Josh also has considerable international experience having
advised Capio (Sweden) on its acquisition of Community Hospitals and Coca
Cola Icecek during its attempted flotation on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
Josh is fluent in French and Spanish.
Alex spent 25 years as a journalist. He has written for, edited and
published a series of magazines and newspapers, both consumer and
trade and technical. He has been in PR for over twenty years, working
for agencies both large and small – from Fleet Financial Services Ltd to Weber
Shandwick. He spent four years with Communications Systems in Brussels
working on a number of blue chip accounts including ICI, Jaguar and Philips.
In recent years he has tended to specialise in the growth company area.
Laurence
began his career as a journalist in the social and current affairs departments
of Meridian Television. In 1999 he joined the financial PR consultancy Ludgate
Communications advising clients in sectors such as Resources, Constructions,
TMT and Financial Services. Laurence left Weber Shandwick Square Mile in
2002 and was a founder member of Conduit PR. In recent years he has advised
on over 30 successful AIM and full list IPO’s, significant resource
results, hostile take-overs and crisis management. Clients advised include
London Mining, Consolidated Minerals, Tanzanite One, Sylvania Resources,
OMV, Zambezi Resources, Dwyka Diamonds, Firestone Diamonds, ZincOx, Rheochem,
Alfred McAlpine, Anite Group, NDS, Keller Group and KPMG.
Threadneedle’s
advisory capacity has been significantly bolstered by the arrival of Karine
Luckraft, ex-head of small cap sales and research at Panmure Gordon. Karine’s
involvement is to primarily assist listed companies communicate more effectively
with the City - an important role for new companies seeking to list on AIM
or the full market. In addition, Karine’s added experience as a previous
Director of an AIM listed company is of great benefit to Threadneedle’s
clients.
Beth
joined Threadneedle in May 2008. Prior to this she worked at Parkgreen
Communications since 2005, where she was central to the Natural Resources
team. In this time she advised on IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, financial
calendar planning and crisis management. Beth has advised companies
including Albidon, Anglesey Mining, Cambrian Mining, Coal International, Geiger
Counter, Katanga Mining, Monterrico Metals, River Diamonds, South China Resources
and Vane Minerals.
Trevor
Bass began his career in the City over 50 years ago as a financial
journalist on The Evening News and gaining experience with a
number of titles before his appointment as City Editor of the Daily
Express in the late 1960's. He entered financial PR in 1970 with
Shareholder Relations and was a founding member of Blue Arrow, then
the world's largest recruitment agency, which he floated on the London
Stock Exchange in the 1980's. In 1987 Trevor started up his eponymous
financial pr company and in the last 20 years has advised a broad range
of clients across all sectors, including a wealth of IPO's and M&A
transactions. Trevor's current clients include support services firm
Mears Group, in-car entertainment company Armour and recruitment
services organisation Servoca.
